On December 6, 2016, Chenzhou Comprehensive Bonded Zone, approved by the State Council, is the fifth Comprehensive Bonded Zone in Hunan Province.
 

Chenzhou Comprehensive Bonded Zone is located in Chenzhou High-tech Zone, with a total planning area of 1.06 square kilometers. It passed the joint acceptance team of Changsha Customs and other departments on December 7, 2017 and officially closed on August 22, 2018.

In recent years, Chenzhou Comprehensive Bonded Zone has made full use of its own advantages in location, transportation, mineral resources and ecological resources, focusing on the development of bonded processing business, such as the electronic information and non-ferrous metal intensive processing and equipment manufacturing, bonded logistics business such as bonded warehousing, international procurement and international distribution, as well as bonded service business such as offshore trade, service trade and multinational headquarters in combination with new foreign trade modes such as cross-border E-commerce, so as to further enhance the comprehensive competitiveness.

In 2019, the total import and export volume of Chenzhou Comprehensive Bonded Zone reached US $1.205 billion, an increase of 22.14 percent. In 2020, facing novel coronavirus pneumonia and adverse trade pressure, Chenzhou Comprehensive Bonded Zone took effective measures to scientifically and orderly promote the resumption of production and trade in foreign trade enterprises in the region, and the foreign trade performance was upturned. From January to August, the import and export volume reached 1.036 billion US dollars, accounting for 28.8 percent of the city's total, with a year-on-year growth of 69.2 percent.

With the successful approval of China (Hunan) Pilot Free Trade Zone, as the core functional area of Chenzhou Area and the main bearing place of Chenzhou cross border e-commerce comprehensive experimental zone, Chenzhou Comprehensive Boned Zone will continue to optimize the business environment, complete financial supporting services, simplify business processes, strive to attract more high-quality enterprise projects to settle in the park, and help the city's open economy develop at a high level and with high quality.
